Musharraf seeks Pak SC's permission to fly abroad

Pakistan's ex-president-general Pervez Musharraf has appealed in the Supreme Court to seek permission to go abroad for medical treatment.

He is on the no-fly list and has been hospitalised twice in recent days, said media reports.

The court had on June 23, 2014 cancelled the Sindh High Court's order for removal of Musharraf's name from the Exit Control List.

On Thursday, the ex-president had filed an application in the apex court stating he had a severe medical condition and should be allowed to fly abroad for surgery.

In his plea. Musharraf has also promised that he would return to the country.
