Voters say Clinton expressed her views more clearly than Donald Trump

Hillary Clinton wins first presidential debate

 Democrat candidate Hillary Clinton was deemed the winner first presidential debate by 62 percent of voters who tuned in to watch, while just 27 percent felt Republican Donald Trump had a better night, as per CNN/ORC Poll.

 
Result was similar to Mitt Romney's t performance over President Barack Obama in the first 2012 presidential debate.
 
Voters said Clinton expressed her views more clearly than Trump. She also had a better understanding of the issues. 
 
Clinton also was seemed to have done a better job addressing concerns voters might have about her potential presidency by a 57 percent to 35 per cent margin, and as the stronger leader by a 56 per ent to 39 per cent margin.
 
The gap was smaller on which candidate appeared more authentic, though still broke in Clinton's favour, with 53 percent voters saying she was more sincere to 40 per cent who felt Trump did better.
 
Trump topped Clinton 56 per cent to 33 percent as the debater who spent more time attacking their opponent, the poll suggested.
