The Pakistan Army announced on Tuesday the launch of an operation along the Afghan border to stop movement of terrorists from both sides in Rajgal Valley.
A news report quoted the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) as saying that the operation was launched to reinforce troop deployment to check the movement of militants across the porous border.
"Despite heavy military presence on both sides of the border, cross-border movements of militants (both ways) have been a major area of concern," a ISPR statement said.
Investigations into a number of terror attacks in the country have established that the attackers had used Afghanistan for executing the strikes.
Pakistan government is under tremendous pressure from military to strengthen its counter-terrorism policy.
