France takes a step towards de-radicalization
After jihadist gunmen attacked and killed hundreds in Paris offices of Charlie Hebdo, satirical newspaper and Jewish Supermarket in January 2015, France has decided to create de-radicalization centres in each region of the country.

The action is being taken to prevent people from being involved in jihadist groups as said by French Prime Minister Manuel Valls.

The plan actually aims towards doubling the on going efforts to de-radicalize people and to help people already in jihadist networks or those likely to join such groups and as per their plans, the first de-radicalization centre could be set up by this summer.

This is being done because both sets of attacks were carried out mainly by French citizens who had become radicalized and fought abroad alongside jihadist groups.

According to Le Parisien Newespaper, there are nearly 10,000 people targeted by French authorities who are cabable of inciting violence and are needed to be de-radicalized.
