India's ODI and T20 skipper M S Dhoni even though continues to be one of the highest paid brand endorsers in India, when it comes to bat, star batsman Virat Kohli commands a higher price, a report in 'The Times of India' has said.
Whereas Dhoni gets around Rs 6 crore to put a Spartan sticker on his bat, Kohli gets around Rs 8 crore for the same, said a report.
Kohli also gets paid around Rs 2 crore for endorsing apparel and shoes on pitch.
And when it comes to off-field brand endorsements such as television advertisements, Dhoni is ahead with Rs 8 crore while Kohli gets 5 crore.
"Dhoni, Yuvraj and Kohli are the players who can get merchandise to move off the shelves," said the CEO of a large sportswear firm.
As cricket calendar is full this season, with World T20 going on and IPL soon to begin, there is a rush among brands to sign up new players for kit endorsements.
