‘Shukriya India’: Says Apple CEO Tim Cook
As Apple iPhones, iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus is getting extremely popular among Indians, the CEO of Apple Inc, Tim Cook thanked fans across India by tweeting ‘Shukriya India’ on his twitter handle. 
 
He tweeted and said ‘Shukriya India and everyone who turned out for Friday's launch of iPhone 7and Apple Watch Series 2!’
 
Apple launched both the phones on October 7 at 7 pm and big lines outside several Apple flagship and big retail stores across national capital region (NCR) could be seen. 
 
The same scene was seen outside stores in Mumbai and Bengaluru. 
 
The phones were however given to the customers who had pre-ordered the smartphones and the sale for other customers is likely to start today. 
 
Also e-commerce giants namely Flipkart, Amazon and Snapdeal announced attractive offers on iPhones. 
 
While Flipkart offered10, 000 cashback on pre-orders,  Amazon offered 11,000 cashback and Snapdeal collaborated with Amex to offer Rs 10,000 discount on Amex cards. 
 
Apart from them, telecom majors Airtel and Reliance Jio have also announced attractive plans for iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus customers.
 
Last month, Apple tied up with the country's top e-tailer to sell the two new smartphones.
