Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his greetings on the 84th anniversary of the Air Force Day on Saturday. He also thanked the force for protecting skies.
PM Modi tweeted, "Saluting all air warriors and their families on the Air Force Day. Thank you for protecting our skies. Your courage makes India proud."
President Pranab Mukherjee also applauded the Air Force, saying that it has achieved distinction in defending our skies.
President tweeted, over the last eight decades; the IAF has emerged as an immensely professional and combat-ready force.
The Indian Air Force is celebrating its 84th anniversary today by shining the air display though various aircrafts. It was officially established on October 8, 1932.
The celebrations are going on at Air Force Station Hindon in Uttar Pradesh. Army Chief Dalbir Singh and former cricketer Sachin Tendulkar were also present on the occasion.
