Bronze to Turn Silver after four years for Yogeshwar
Yogeshwar Dutt's bronze medal will get upgraded to silver after Russia's Besik Kudukhov's sample tested positive.

Four years after wrestler Yogeshwar Dutt brought bronze for India, the said bronze medal is now set to turn silver for him.

In London Olympics of 2012, the Indian wrestler lost his silver medal to Russia’s Besik Kudukhov. The medal will be upgraded into silver as the winner of silver medal Besik has been tested positive for dope test.

Samples of Kudukhov, who died in a car accident in year 2013 at the age of 27, collected during London Olympics were retested to be positive this month by, the International Olympic Committee (IOC).

The samples were retested as a part of standard practice in which samples stored for up to 10 years are retested using advanced testing methods to check dope cheats.

Nevertheless, once the upgrade is officially announced, Yogeshwar will join wrestler Sushil Kumar and shooter Vijay Kumar as silver-medallists for India from the London Games.

Unfortunately, the Indian wrestler returned disappointed to India from Rio with bare hands.
