Jaguar XF 2016 all set to pave in India this month

The luxury car brand Jaguar is all set to launch its refreshed XF saloon version in India. The sedan would be in market in the second half of August. After the launch of the XE sedan, this will be the second offering among the three fresh models announced by the carmaker.

The XE sedan was announced at the 2016 Indian Auto Expo and another model which will be introduced this year is the F-Pace SUV. With the launch expected in the second half of this month, prices of the new XF are likely to start at approximately Rs 55 lakh.

The refreshed XF comes with major changes, like a new lighter platform, which helps it weigh just 1,687kg. To ensure its weight in check, aluminum has been extensively used in building the platform.

The wheelbase now measures 2,960mm, a good 51mm extra than previous model. With this stretched wheelbase, the cabin space is likely to increase by a decent margin. Furthermore, it will boast full LED headlights and LED taillights and younger looking alloy wheels.

The XF features a XJ-borrowed steering wheel along with a redesigned dashboard. The comfort level has gone a notch higher with the seats getting more premium feel. The top-of-the-line version gets a 10.2-inch In-Control Touch Pro System with 10GB of onboard storage.

The automaker also claims that dynamics of the XF have further improved because of the weight reduction. The vehicle has also gone longer than the version it replaces, with 5,067mm of length. Jaguar XF will be in both diesel and petrol engine options.
