Someone has truly said that ‘a dream doesn’t become reality through magic; it takes sweat, determination and hard work.’ Well said, isn’t it?
Everyone knows that how much important to work hard is in order to achieve something. But there are few people who apply this mantra in their lives and make this mantra their motto.
On July 18, 1982, such a personality was born who set an example of sheer hard work and determination. The personality is none other than our very own Priyanka Chopra.
Born in Jamshedpur to Ashok and Madhu Chopra, both physicians in the Indian Army, Priyanka initially wanted to become an engineer or psychiatrist but fate had different plans. The award of Miss World Pageant of 2000 came as a turning point in her life that led her to choose acting over studies.
People may say this to be mere luck but undoubtedly fortune favors the bold.
Her debut is seen as a doctor in Sunny Deol and Priety Zinda starring ‘The hero: Love story of a spy’. The movie was one of the highest-grossing Bollywood films that year.
After that, she was flooded with films. Many of them did not do well on the Box Office but she never looked back.
When the going gets tough, the tough gets going and Priyanka Chopra never stopped in the journey of her life.
Milestone came in her acting career in the form of ‘Aitraz’, in which she played an antagonist. Her role in the movie won her much critical appreciation and she bagged films like ‘Krrish’, ‘Don’ and other blockbusters. She is also seen the sequels of both the films.
She justified her acting talent in the films like ‘Mary Kom’, ‘Barfi’, ‘Bajirao Mastani’ and many more.
Acting was certainly her first love but not the last one. She always had a desire to sing and she very well worked to fulfill her desire. Her album ‘In My City’ won her international recognition and made her s sensation.
There is hardly anybody who doesn’t know about ‘Quantico’, an American series, in which she portrayed the role of Alex Parrish, the protagonist.
Apart from being an artist, she is also known as philanthropist and was appointed as a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador for Child Rights in 2010.
Her achievements do not end here and one of her biggest achievements is seen in the form of ‘Padam shri’ the national honor.
With all such achievements in different fields and aspects of her career, she truly defines the meaning of a ‘self made woman’.
