Case filed against PM for insulting national flag

According to reports from a lawyer, a case has been filed in a Bihar court against Prime Minister Narendra Modi for insulting the national flag.

Earlier in April, another complainant Ashish Sharma had claimed that Modi insulted the national flag more than 20 times on the International Yoga Day last year making it the second time Modi has been accused of disrespecting the tricolor.

The case was filed in the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate in Muzaffarpur district of Patna which fixed the hearing for July 16.

Prakash Kumar, a resident of Pokhraira village, has accused Modi for showing a lack of respect for the national flag on International Yoga Day(June 21).

The petitioner said that Modi disrespected the tricolored flag by using it as a sheer piece of cloth, sat on it and also used it to wipe his hands and face claiming it to be hurtful to millions in the country.

He backed his petition by submitting a series of pictures downloaded from the internet.
