Kejriwal says Modi declaring emergency in Delhi

After arrest of Sangam Vihar MLA Dinesh Mohaniya by Delhi Police on Saturday, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal took on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and said in a tweet that “Modi declares emergency in Delhi. Arresting, raiding, terrorising, filing false cases against all those whom Delhi elected.”

Delhi Police arrested Mohaniya for allegedly misbehaving with a group of women who had gone to him to complain about the water crisis.

Mohaniya, who is also vice-chairman of Delhi Jal Board, was picked up by a police team while addressing a press conference at his office in Khanpur in South Delhi. However, Kejriwal took to Twitter and hit out at the PM.

The Aam Aadmi Party MLA was booked on June 23 for allegedly misbehaving with a group of women who approached him with a complaint regarding water crisis in their locality.

He was booked on charges of causing hurt, criminal intimidation and using word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman, police said.

Another case has been registered against Mohaniya at Govindpuri Police Station for allegedly slapping a 60-year-old man in Tughlaquabad area on Friday.
