Congress to counter BJP through media

Congress is all set to face BJP off through social media and television to counter Narendra Modi government’s second anniversary celebrations.

As an answer of BJP government’s catchline ‘Zara muskura do’, congress will address every issue with ‘ Do saal desh ka bura haal aur kehe hain zara muskura do’.

The issues that congress is planning to highlight include agrarian crisis, state of economy, attack on democracy, education, governance, unemployment, atrocities against minorities and Scheduled Castes and Tribes. This counter attack on BJP will be based on ‘facts’ and would largely draw from data and achievements.

The party would come out with a comprehensive report card of the government's two years underlining extent of achievements under Modi's flagship programmes like Skill India, Swachh Bharat Mission and Housing for All.

The party is planning to make one minute video clips to be aired on TV and radio channels. Congress would depute general secretaries, spokespersons and other senior leaders to travel through states and hold press conferences on these issues

These leaders include Kapil Sibal , Jairam Ramesh , Digvijaya Singh, P Chidambarama, Salman Khurshid , Mukul Wasnik, Mohan Prakash, Madhusudan Mistry, Shakeel Ahmed and Randeep Surjewala.

The anniversary is on May 26.
