IRCTC denies website hacked reports

IRCTC PRO Sandip Dutta has denied any hacking of the website and said that Railway Board was waiting for details from the Cyber Cell.

"We will set up a panel to probe the incident," Dutta said in Mumbau, stressing that the site was working absolutely fine.

Personal data of at least 1 crore customers is feared to have been stolen from the server of the e-ticketing portal Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC), raising fears of safety and security.

Lakhs of transactions are conducted every day in the site. Customers provide details like Pan Card numbers while filling up online reservation forms.
