‘Govt constructing 5 lakh farming pools’

 Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Sunday that government is constructing five lakh 'farming pools' 

 
In his monthly radio programme 'Mann Ki Baat', he also urged people to resort to water conservation methods like creating small reservoirs
 
Modi asked the farming community to use less fertilizers and more modern technology, like the Farmers' App, for their assistance.
 
During the half an hour programme, PM spke about how the government is developing all the five places associated with Dalit icon B R Ambedkar on the occasion of his 125th birth anniversary which will be on April 14.
 
He also asked students to develop some skills during their vacations and urged people to work for eradication from the country and defeat diabetes.
 
On agriculture sector, he said water table is falling in parts of country and said minor reservoirs should be made to conserve necessary commodity
 
Modi also said that the government is constructing five lakh farming pools in the country.
