Honda launches its latest SUV model
There is good news for people looking for new SUV cars that may fit their budget. Honda Cars India has launched a seven-seater SUV BR-V on Thursday.
 
The car’s price can range somewhere from Rs 8.75 lakhs to Rs 12.9 lakhs.  
 
The newly launched model is likely to compete with Hyundai Creta and Renault Duster. These cars are priced as Rs 8.46 lakhs and Rs 14.5 lakhs respectively.
 
The car is launched with both petrol and diesel variants. The petrol variant is priced between Rs 8.7 lakhs and Rs 11.84 lakhs while the price of the diesel variant can range from Rs 9.9 lakhs to Rs 12.9 lakhs.
 
Apart from these variants, there is also an automatic variant which costs between Rs 11.99 lakhs. 
 
The company hopes to increase its customer base with this newly launched model as well as hopes to expand its business base. 
 
Apart from this, the company also aims towards increasing its sales network to 340 dealerships from the current 298.
 
The compact SUV segment has been one of the best performing segments in the Indian Market, growing around 35 percent for the past two years, which is good news for the company.
 
The company is planning to manufacture this new model at its Tapukara plant. 
 
Talking about other attributes of the car, it comes with class-leading 210-mm ground clearance. Also, the petrol variant comes with 6- speed manual transmission, while the diesel version is equipped with 6 speed transmission.
 
A word about safety, the car comes with dual airbags as a standard feature in all variants.
