The Association of Unified Service Providers in India ( AUSPI) and Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI) are planning to move to the Supreme Court against levy of call drop penalty.
They may urge for an early hearing in the matter.
The apex court had allowed the TRAI to impose penalty and take required action.
The telecom firms have argued before the SC that there is no statutory provision backing the levy of call drop penalty.
They also said that quality of service regulations are in place already, which permits two percent rate of call drop and the telecom companies are looking at call drop rate of 0.77 percent.
