JNU row: Delhi Police files report in HC

The Delhi Police filed a status report in the High Court filed a report on Wednesday, hours after interrogating JNU students Umar Khalid and Anirban Bhattacharya, who surrendered late last night.

JNU row: Delhi Police files report in HC

 The Delhi Police filed a status report in the High Court filed a report on Wednesday, hours after interrogating JNU students Umar Khalid and Anirban Bhattacharya, who surrendered late last night.

 

The report includes the alleged anti-India  slogans which were raised in the campus, the video of the incident that took place on February 9.

 

During the interrogation, the police asked both of them about the sequence of events, which took place in the campus on the day.

 

It also asked them about their whereabouts during the incident.

 

The two JNU students are in police custody at the South Campus Police Station.

 

In the meantime, the Delhi Police is expected to oppose the bail plea of Kanhaiya Kumar after latest developments.

 

Kanhaiya was arrested in a sedition case earlier this month  after an event held at the varsity campus against the execution of Parliament attack convict Afzal Guru.
