The Border Security Force (BSF) has seized an abandoned Pakistani boat from the Ravi river in Punjab's frontier district of Gurdaspur.
The boat was seized in the Dera Baba Nanak sector, the officials said.
The seizure comes in middle of heightened tension between India and Pakistan along the Line of Control. However, BSF Director General K.K. Sharma said there was no foul-play.
"There was excessive water flow because of which the boat drifted on our side. The boat has accidentally drifted to our side, I don't think there is any problem with the boat," said BSF Director General K.K. Sharma.
The Indian Coast Guard apprehended a Pakistani boat on Sunday with nine crew members off the Gujarat coast.
