Eyeing the attack of Uri in Jammu and Kashmir that killed 17 soldiers, the government of Odisha has announced a high alert in the state.
Odisha DGP KB Singh told media that though there is no specific report from intelligence agencies regarding that but they do not want to take a chance. So, special security arrangements have been made to tackle any untoward situation.
As a part of this, special security arrangements have been made for army bases in the state, police armouries, Shree Jagannath Temple in Puri, Paradip port, Integrated Test Range (ITR) in Chandipur, Lingaraj Temple in Bhubaneswar, State Assembly, Secretariat, Bhubaneswar railway station and Biju Patnaik International Airport.
Apart from this, the costal districts have been put in alert in the coastal districts of Puri, Ganjam, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapada, Bhadrak, Khura and Balasore.
