Vijay Rupani sworn in as the Chief Minister of Gujarat

Gujarat Chief Minister, Vijay Rupani is sworn in at the Mahatma Mandir conference hall in Gandhinagar on Sunday. Twenty three ministers, along with Deputy Chief Minister - Nitin Patel, also sworn in during the ceremony.

 

The swearing in ceremony is attended by top BJP leaders including LK Advani, Arun Jaitley, Amit Shah and others.

 

On Saturday, Rupani resigned as Gujarat BJP president following his elevation as CM of the State and Anandiben Patel's successor.

 

The BJP president Amit Shah held a series of meetings with Rupani and other top leaders to finalize names of the ministers to be sworn in.

 

Shah also took meeting to select new party president ahead of the next Assembly polls scheduled to be held in December 2017.
