7th Pay Commission hikes notified

Clearing the final obstacle towards payout of the 7th Pay Commission hike in salaries, the Centre has issued notice giving effect to the panel’s suggestions.

It comes almost a month after Union Cabinet last month cleared the Commission’s recommendation on salary hike.

The hike will result in increase in salaries in range of Rs 7000 to Rs 18,000 per month.

Hike has been determined as per fitment factor of 2.57 applicable for pay revision of all employees. The rate of increment annually has been retained at 3 percent.

Recommendations will benefit nearly 1 crore central government employees. This includes 47 lakh existing employees and 53 lakh pensioners.
