NGT bans all diesel vehicles plying for over 10 yrs in Delhi
In a major shock for owners of diesel cars in Delhi, National Green Tribunal (NGT) on Monday issued an order banning all diesel vehicles plying for over 10 years.

The ban is effective with immediate effect.

The tribunal has directed Regional Transport Office in national capital to de-register all diesel vehicles which are more than ten years old.

NGT has also directed the RTO to inform the police concerning these vehicles so that the police can look into it.

The tribunal plans to impose similar bans on several other cities that are affected by high-levels of pollution in the country.
