Kashmir remains shut for 65th successive day

Kashmir remained shut for the 65thsuccessive day on Sunday with authorities deploying security personnel in Srinagar and other places in the Valley to maintain law and order.

 
"There would be no curfew anywhere in the Valley today (Sunday)," a senior police official said. 
 
With killing of two youths in clashes in Anantnag and Shopian districts on Saturday, the death toll rose to 79.
 
Around 11,500 others have been injured since July 9.
 
All main markets, public transport and educational institutions remained suspended.
