Former Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit was summoned by the Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) for her alleged role in the tanker scam. MK Meena, ACB Chief, said, “We have issued notice to her for questioning on 26th August in connection with Water tanker scam case.”
Last month, Anti-Corruption Bureau registered an FIR against former Delhi chief minister Sheila Dikshit which was critically questioned by Congress party.
Reacting to the ACB summons, Sheila Dikshit told media, “Once I receive information, I will definitely abide by it. I had received a letter from ACB saying I’ll be summoned in August.”
“I haven’t received any info on specific date as yet,” said Dikshit. “It’s completely politically motivated,” she further added.
On the matter Meena said that the previous government had committed irregularities and incurred a loss of around Rs 400 crores so accordingly action might be taken.
Arvind Kejriwal, CM Delhi, had earlier announced that his government would look into all the alleged corruption cases during the Sheila Dikshit tenure including the Delhi Jal Board corruption case.
