The Modi Government on Tuesday inducted several new faces in its council of ministers.
The oath ceremony began at Rashtrapati Bhawan at 11 am, with President Pranab Mukerjee administering oath of office to new ministers.
While Prakash Javadakar has been elevated as cabinet minister, those who were included as Ministers of state include Faggan Singh Kulaste, S.S. Ahluwalia, Ramdas Athawale, Vijay Goel and M.J. Akbar among others.
Those five who dropped from council of ministers are Sanwar Lal Jat (Water Resources), Nihalchand (Panchayati Raj), Ram Shankar Katheria (HRD), Mansukh Bhai Vasava (Tribal Affairs) and Mohanbhai Kundaria (Agriculture).
With this, the strength of NDA Government currentlt stands at 78.
This was the first major expansion in NDA Government since coming to power on May 26, 2014.
