PM Modi reviews performance of ministers

Prime Minister Narendra Modi reviewed the performance of various ministries on Thursday. The performance check gave additional spark to the talks of Cabinet reshuffle. PM also asked his ministers to accelerate the implementation of the government schemes.

Modi held a five hour long meeting with his entire Council and reviewed the past two year’s performances of several ministries and asked his colleagues to ensure the execution of schemes that will benefit the masses.

He checked how every department of his government has spent funds, allocated since June 2014 and at the end he indicated to his ministers that similar exercise will be held every three months.

PM also asked the ministers to think out of the box and that they should ensure the wellbeing of people. He focused on the issue that benefit of allocations from budgets reaches to the last denominator.

As per the comment of senior minister who had a talk with media, "The PM, without speaking about any ministry in particular, said that there is delay in implementation of some project. He said that the impact of policies improves if we cut down the delays."
