An egg a day keeps doctors away
After apple, now an egg a day will keep doctor away by reducing risk of stroke by keeping blood pressure levels under control.

In a study, conducted by EpidStat Institute, Michigan, US, it was found that eggs contain antioxidants that may reduce oxidative stress and inflammation. Also, they have protein that may lower the blood pressure.

To conduct the study, the scientists evaluated relationships between egg intake and coronary heart disease in 2, 76,000 participants and stroke in 3, 08,000 participants.

The study established associations between eggs and risk of stroke that were earlier not there.

The study found that one large egg boasts six grams of high-quality protein and antioxidants lutein and zeaxanthin, as well as vitamins E, D, and A.
