Sri Sri event row: Govt assures damage control

While agreeing that an event like World Cultural Festival organised by the Art of Living foundation at large scale, could have an impact on the environment, Union Minister Mahesh Sharma said that a solution can always be obtained if such a problem comes up.

"India's strength lies in its diverse culture. There can be issues on location and the impact it can have on environment but there are always solutions to such things," Sharma told ANI.

Stressing that the event must go on in any situation, he said that the location of the event was a matter for law and order concern.

In the meantime, Art of Living (AOL) told the tribunal that it can deposit Rs. 25 lakhs on Friday and balance amount within three weeks to which NGT agreed.
