As a response to the Human Rights Forum’s (HRF) petition, filed in the southern bench of the National Green Tribunal (NGT) alleging that the commencement of the Bhadradari project works without obtaining the mandatory environmental clearance, in violation of the Environmental (Protection) Act, 1986, a sub committee appointed by Experts Appraisal Committee (EAC), has inspected the project site.
 
 
The team comprised of five environmental experts and was headed by Prof CR Babu. The team inspected the 8 Kilometers long project site covering Ramanujavaram, Seetharamapuram and Eddulabayyarm villages in Manuguru and Pinapaka mandals.
 
 
The whole area is the proposed site for Bhadradari thermal power station project. 
 
 
The team members evaluated the environmental conditions and took pictures in the presence of TSGenco Director (Projects) C. Radhakrishna, Chief Engineer Ratnakar and others.
 
 
Meanwhile, Mahabubabad MP A Sitaram Naik and Pinapaka MLA Payam Venkateshwarlu submitted a memorandum to the sub-committee members seeking speedy clearances for the project.
