BU to provide free education to orphans

For this, Bangalore University has launched a special scheme called student adoption scheme

As an endeavor to provide higher education to children of economically weaker section and orphan, Bangalore University (BU) has announced free education of master degree courses to such students.
 
For this, the university has launched a special scheme called student adoption scheme.
 
Under this scheme, the university will be offering of cost education and boarding facilities to orphan students. The courses will include, Post Graduation and Doctorate of Philosophy (PhD). 
 
Already, two girls are pursuing education under this scheme. 
 
Students can enroll by submitting death certificates of their parents and income certificate.
 
Following the same trend, the Odisha government in May this year launched Green Passage scheme for orphan students to ensure that they get free of cost higher education in the state.
