Venkaiah Naidu, during a inaugural session of the south zone conference of vice-chancellors of various universities at the Vignan University at Vadlamani in Guntur district has said that centre is working on National Education Policy- 2106.
According to the minister, the new education policy will lay emphasis on aimed producing students and graduates equipped with knowledge, skills, attitude and values that were required to lead a productive life and participate in the countrys development process.
Highlighting some of the issues that would be tackled in new education policy, the minister said that informing and reforming our youth force shall be the agenda of higher educational institutions and the nation will also focus on promoting 20 world-class institutions both in public and private sectors.
The minister said that thousands of our students flock to other countries for higher studies and that is a matter of serious concern, so, the education policy will make Vice Chancellors to do the needful.
The education policy will also focus on enhancing the quality of education.
