Polling in University of Delhi (DU) for the post of President, Vice-President, Secretary and Joint Secretary has ended in most the morning colleges and is yet to start in evening colleges. Polling in Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) is still continuing. 
The polling in DU started at 8:30 am and ended at 12:30 pm and in evening colleges, it will start from 3 pm and will continue till 7 pm, while in Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), started at 9 pm and is still continuing and will end at 5 pm.
For the elections, a total of 17 candidates are in fray for the four posts of Delhi University Students' Union office-bearers while seven candidates are in race for the post of President and four for the post of Vice-President.
Also, three candidates are there for the Secretary and Joint Secretary post. 
In last year polls, ABVP defeated Chhatra Yuva Sangharsh Samiti (CYSS), affiliated to the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), NSUI, affiliated to Congress and All India Students' Association (AISA), affiliated to the Communist Party of India.
CYSS has not participated in this year polls.
Meanwhile, the results of DU polls will be out on Saturday while the results of JNU will be out on Sunday.
