President Mukherjee remembered Dr Radhakrishnan, delivered lecture and presented awards

‘Instill values of sacrifice, tolerance in students’
On the occasion of Teachers day, celebrated on the birth anniversary of Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, second president of India, our present president Pranab Mukherjee recognized the dedicated services of the teachers of our nation and flooded his twitter handle greeting and wishing all the teachers of this country. 
 
 
 In his tweets, he also suggested teachers to instill the values of sacrifice, tolerance etc in students. 
 
 
 
Also, he said that the teachers and sound education system are bedrock or basis of an enlightened society.
 
In one of his tweets, he also said that our teachers need to imbibe technology & new methodologies to create modern &effective approaches to teaching & learning.
 
 
Apart from this, he also delivered a lecture to around 80 students of class XI and XII. 
 
The lecture was delivered in Delhi's Dr Rajendra Prasad Sarvodaya Vidyalaya situated within the compounds of Rashtrapati Bhavan. 
 
In his lecture, he not only dealt with the issues related to our political history and its development since independence, but he also highlighted the rising menace of terrorism in the country as well as across the world.
 
On such an occasion, he also presented National Awards to teachers at Vigyan Bhavan.
