Nalanda grants admission to 2 Pakistani students
Despite roaring tensions between India and Pakistan over Kashmir and Baluchistan, admission to two Pakistani students at Nalanda University has been granted. 
 
 
These two students will be studying in the School of Environment and Ecology from this academic session that is supposed to get started soon. 
 
 
The university got around 6000 applications from students of around 50 countries from across the world out of which, the university selected a total of 83 international students from 13 countries. 
 
 
Apart from Pakistan, the university got applications from Bhutan, Vietnam, Brazil, Laos, Peru, China, South Korea, South Africa, Nigeria, Mayanmar and Japan. 
 
 
Nalanda happens to be one of the most ancient universities of this country, new complex of which is coming up in Rajgir, about 12 km from where the ancient university stood till the 12th century.
