UPSC may reduce upper age limit for CSE
Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) that works under the Government of India to recruit staff for various posts in various ministries and departments etc is going to reduce the age limit for Civil Services Examination (CSE) to 26 years.

Presently, the upper limit is 32 years while the lower limit for giving exam is 21 years. For SC/ST category candidates, the age limit is 37 years.

If the commission reduces the age to 26, it will be reducing the age by 6 years. Interestingly, the commission has planned not to change upper limit for reserved categories.

The commission has decided to revise the date after Prime Minister Narendra Modi last year in August, appointed a panel to revamp the entire system of the civil services examination.

The Central Government will take a final decision on this matter.
