University to start engineering courses in Hindi
Madhya Pradesh’s Atal Bihari Vajpayee Hindi Vishwavidyalaya has taken an initiative by becoming the first ever university to offer electrical, mechanical and civil stream courses in Hindi medium. 
 
 
According to the Vice Chancellor of the University, they want to break the mindset that progress is assured through English only. 
 
 
Moreover, it is a matter of huge respect that the university, which was set up in the name of noted Hindi scholar and former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, is working towards imparting education in technical subjects in Hindi medium, said the person.
 
 
As per the process, already, the syllabus has been drafted in Hindi and the University has appointed faculty imparting engineering courses in Hindi. 
 
 
The university has planned to offer 30 seats in civil, mechanical, electrical degree as well as diploma courses. 
 
 
Interestingly, the University is functioning from Old Vidhan Sabha Building as its capus is under construction.
