NEET 2016: Gujarat Boy secures top position

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has declared the results the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) results in Tuesday, a day before the scheduled declaration of results on August 17.

 
As per the results Gujarat Boy Het Shah (18) secured top  position with 685 marks out of 720.
 
He was  followed by Ekansh Goyal (18) from Odisha, and Nikhil Bajiya (17) from Rajasthan with 678 marks.
 
NEET was conducted at 1,040 centres in 52 cities all over India and overseas, whereas NEET II was held at 739 centres in 56 cities in India.
 
Around 600,000 aspirants appeared for NEET-I on May 1, and 475,000 aspirants appeared for NEET-2 on July 24.
 
Not less than 7,31,223 have cleared the exam.
