Every year students pass their high school and become ready to take up different courses and enter colleges of their choices. But every time there remains a huge gap between the aspirants and the fortunate ones who get admissions.
So, to tackle such a situation, Mumbai University has planned to add 28 new colleges this year.
A step has already been taken in the matter as 28 colleges have already been shortlisted by the Department of Higher and Technical Education and the state government already knows about the proposal.
Officials at the University of Mumbai have, meanwhile, said that it would be difficult to start courses at the colleges from the current academic session as there won’t be enough time to begin classes in those colleges this year.
