Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley has taken care of of agriculture sector in Budget 2016.
Soon after beginning his budget at around 11 am in the Parliament on Monday, he mentioned of expenditure in the sector.
The Finance minister allocated whopping Rs 35,984 crore for agriculture sector.
He also took care of farmers committing suicide by giving emphasis on Fasal Bima Yojna (crop insurance scheme)
While increasing the amount on MNREGA, he added this was the highest ever allocated for the project.
Jailey also announced that agriculture platform will be dedicated on the birth anniversary of Dr. B R Ambedkar.
He bets on farmermars, plans to enhabce expenditure in farm, rural infra and social sectors.
In his budget, Jaitley also announced Rs 87,765 crores for rural development as a whole.
