Sorry, Railway Budget failed to impress bureaucrats

With one eye shoring up finances and the other on populism, this railway budget did not met everyone's expectations. This time Prabhu's leela may have made passengers happy but some section feels that too much has to be achieve.

Not happy with Prabhu's announcement, former bureaucrats said budget is not good for railway's health.

Former Railboard member B K Sinha feels this budget had nothing new. Better services are required for users but not on highly subsidized basis. Atleast some part of the cost to the Railways should have been taken out of the users pockets.

Former member Ajir Alok sums up this budget as image of what is going to come in future. While former IRTS officer Prakash said that this is not a budget in true sense. They are not saying how this will be achieved.

In this budget there was nothing to be worth mentioning. How will railway go ahead with this budget that has to been seen, said another officer.
