Union Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu on Thursday presented a budget without announcing any hike in fare.

However, there was no major announcement in this budget. But Prabhu made some changes which include coolie will now be called 'Sahayaks'.

Four new type of trains Humsafar, Antyoday, Uday Express and Tejas were announced.

Presenting the Railway Budget 2016, Minister Suresh Prabhu said it is not his budget but the aspirations of families in India. Like 2015, passenger trains remained unchanged and this year’s speech had few new train announcements.

“These are challenging times,” Prabhu said in the opening remarks of his second rail budget speech, adding that the strategy will involve three pillars -- exploring new avenues to raise revenues, improve efficiency and totally recast decision-making.
