Congress comes up with 6 proposals for start-ups

Congress on Wednesday made six suggestions for "start-up" innovation by government, saying Prime Minister Narendra Modi and finance minister Arun Jaitley would do well to listen to the party to make a success of the proposed scheme in the face of a deteriorating economy.

Reminding that hyperboles of Make in India, Digital India, Jan Dhan Yojana, had fallen flat, Congress' Jairam Ramesh referred to the proposed launch of "Startup India" to say that government should heed the advice culled out of Rahul Gandhi's meetings with around 30 start-up entrepreneurs over the last two months.

According to Congress, the government must give a categorical commitment that it will support net neutrality and not allow large companies to restrict access to the internet, also asking the Centre to set a deadline for providing universal internet access.
