Fate of diesel vehicles in 11 cities to be out on Tuesday

National Green Tribunal will hear hearing the matter related to air pollution in 11 cities across states in the country on Tuesday.

 
As per, ‘The Economic Times’ report, It is likely to take a decision on whether to impose a ban on older vehicles and a ban on registration of new diesel vehicles in these cities. 
 
NGT bench headed by Chairperson Swatanter Kumar asked the state counsels to put forth data on  most polluted city in their respective states, vehicles population in the place with bifurcation of diesel and petrol vehicles, the population of the said cities. 
 
Even as counsel for Maharashtra said that Mumbai is worst polluted city in Maharashtra, the counsel for Uttar Pradesh said they need more time to submit necessary data.
