Home Minister Rajnath Singh held separate meetings with the chiefs of National Security Guard (NSG) and Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) on Friday.
As per reports, these were routine meetings but were significant after surgical strikes carried out by the Indian Army across the Line of Control (LoC).
Rajnath Singh met CISF DG O.P. Singh and NSG DG Sudhir Pratap Singh. Meetings were to ensure security in airports and numerous industrial units across the country.
He also met R.K. Pachnanda, Director General of National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and discussed about preparedness.
The Home Minister along with Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju, other senior officials and intelligence agencies chiefs reviewed security situation in the country, mainly along the International Border in Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir, Gujarat and Rajasthan.
