Retired Indian Administrative Services (IAS) officer Shakti Sinha has been appointed as Director of Nehru Memorial Museum and Library by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet.
The officer, who has been appointed after previous director Mahesh Rangarajan’s resignation, will receive a fixed amount of Rs 2.25 lakh per month.
Before this, the officer has also served as private secretary and joint secretary to Atal Bihari Vajpayee in 1998-99.
Also, he has served as director of the RSS affiliated think-tank India Foundation.
