Kheya Bhattacharya is now Indian Envoy to Morocco
Dr Kheya Bhattacharya has been appointed as India’s next Ambassador to Morocco. 

The officer is an Indian Foreign Officer of 1985 batch and has served in Brussels, Dhaka, Paris, Kathmandu and Geneva. She has also served in Ministy of External Affairs.

The officer is a PhD in Molecular Biology from Indian Agricultural Research Institute. 

Dr Bhattacharya’s foreign assignments include,  Brussels from 1986 to 1989 as Second Secretary (EEC), Dhaka from 1992 to 1994 as First Secretary (Information, and Commerce), Paris from 1997 to 2000 as Counsellor (Political), Kathmandu from 2004 to 2007 as Minister (Economic Cooperation) and Deputy Chief of Mission. She was the Deputy Permanent Representative of the Permanent Mission of India to the UN in Geneva from 2009 to 2013 prior to joining NDC.
