Rajendran becomes TN’s new DGP
Chennai has got its new Director General of Police (DGP) in the face of T K Rajendran who was earlier working as Chennai city Police Commissioner. 
 
 
Rajendran is an Indian Police services (IPS) officer of 1984 batch and was posted as Commissioner of Police in October 2015.
 
 
In place of Rajendran, S George who was earlier posted as Director General of Police of Tamil Nadu Uniformed Services Recruitment Board has been made the Commissioner of Police of Chennai. 
 
 
Rajendran has been given the post of DGP after the retirement of Ashok Kumar from the post. This new DGP has also worked as he additional director general of police (law and order).
