Former Chief Secretary of Meghalaya becomes CIC
Warjri, a retired IAS officer of 1978 batch, who is also former Chief Secretary of Meghalaya, has been appointed as new Chief Information Commissioner (CIC).
 
 
The officer was given Manipur-Tripura cadre immediately after joining the Indian Administrative Services and the officer has served in Manipur as Principal Secretary in Home and Planning Department along with other services.
 
 
The officer has also served as the Chairman of Administrative Reforms along with Soil and Water Conservation and Forest and Environment departments. 
 
 
The officer is an alumnus of St. Edmund’s College and Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU).
