VT Singh has become Indian Ambassador to Ireland

Vijay Thakur Singh, an Indian Foreign Service (IFS) officer of 1985 batch is the new Indian Ambassador to Ireland.
 
 
The officer is presently working as India High Commissioner to Singapore.
 
 
The officer has also served as Joint Secretary in the National Security Council Secretariat before becoming High Commissioner of India to Singapore. 
 
 
Apart from this, she has served as a Counselor in the Embassy of India in Kabul, Counselor in the Permanent Mission of India to the United Nations in New York, Director in the UN Division in the Ministry of External Affairs, and as Under Secretary, Deputy Secretary and Director in the Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iran Division in the Ministry of External Affairs. 
 
 
Also, she has served as Third Secretary in Embassy of India, Madrid.
 
 
Talking about her educational qualification, she has a Masters degree in Economics and also she is Bachelor of Laws.
